Once again, Antibody Solutions was proud to participate as an event sponsor in the annual Antibody Engineering and Therapeutics (AET) conference, hosted at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Antibody Solutions’ Co-Founder and President, John Kenney, PhD, delivered a presentation: Capturing the Functional Antibody Repertoire from Multiple B-cell Subsets Following Antigen Stimulation.

Antibody Solutions also had a booth on the exhibit hall floor, allowing our team ample opportunity to reconnect in person with our many friends and colleagues. Attendance at AET was strong this year, and there was a notable level of excitement in the air. It was obvious that attendees were happy to be participating and eager to catch up face-to-face.

Members of the Antibody Solutions team smile for the camera at the 2002 AET Conference. Included here left to right are John Kenney, PhD, Co-Founder and President; Debra Valsamis,  Business Development Manager; and Joshua Lowitz, Director of Project Management.

Dr. Kenney presented his talk on Day 2 of the conference, highlighting the continued importance of understanding B-cell maturation and its impact upon the repertoire of antibodies obtained by different technologies. It’s easy to take basic B-cell biology for granted and focus on an antibody technology that gives you "hits" but, as he pointed out in his talk, our community is still learning about the diversity within different populations of B-cells and how to best capture the full antibody repertoire. He also took this opportunity to debut our new services platform: Cellestive. The response to Cellestive was overwhelmingly positive and we thank all of those that helped us hone this platform.

The scientific talks provided a broad representation of the field, with tracks discussing ADC’s, Single B-cell based discovery methods, Bi-specifics, and more. As always, it was a great window into the direction our field is headed and an opportunity to engage with our industry peers to discuss the future of antibody discovery.

We look forward to doing it all again in 2023! If you missed AET this year, there are still plenty of ways to get in touch with us. Drop us a line and let us know how we can get you started on your antibody discovery journey.
